My
craft explores form implementing natural fibers, reeds,
found objects and collage resulting in a sculptural woven
vessel of unique design. I do not consciously function
from a polarized concept but explore the quiet natural
beauty of irregularity and imperfection in the material
then let this concept guide me in each piece’s
completion bowing to its intrinsic nature and self imposed
uniqueness. The result is always a reflection of the
materials boundaries and the Eternal imagination.
I
have been working in the field of fiber for over twenty
years. I remain in touch with the
rhythms of the craft world universally as a member of the
statewide organization Florida Craftsmen, and Friends of
Fiber Art International. |
